The Areas We Cover

Meridian sits in a service area that runs from Kuna, about 6 miles out, to Garden City at 7 miles and Star at 8, with Eagle also 6 miles away. Closer in, we work the named pockets that make up Meridian itself and its immediate edges: West Boise and West Valley to the ENE, the Southwest Ada County Alliance area to the ESE, Two Rivers/Banbury to the NNE, and West Bench further out. We also take calls from Franklin-Randolph, Northwest Boise City, Boise Bench, Hillcrest, Veterans Park, Vistas, Downtown, North End, Southeast Boise, and East End, along with the farther-out towns of Middleton, Caldwell, Melba, and Emmett. Most of the houses in these areas were built between 1977 and 2009, with the bulk of that stock going up in the 2000s. That matters for the work: doors, openers, and track hardware from that build era are a known quantity to us, and parts for a 2003-vintage double door are usually easier to source than for something older. We're set up to drive to any of these areas from our shop at 2929 W Navigator Dr, and we don't treat the farther towns as an afterthought - Melba and Emmett are both about 18 miles out, and that's still a normal call for us.

Our limits

What We Will Not Do

What We Will Not Do

We don't replace a door when a spring or a cable is the actual problem. A broken torsion spring on a double door is a parts-and-labor job, not a reason to sell someone a new door, and we'll tell you that straight even if the upsell would pay better. We also don't carry every opener model in the truck - with housing stock spanning three decades of builds, from 1977 to 2009, the opener on an older Meridian house can be a model that takes a day or two to source a part for, and we'd rather say that up front than promise same-visit magic we can't deliver. We don't do new-home installs as a side hustle to repair work; if that's what you need, we'll say so rather than stretch to cover it. And we don't quote a job over the phone without seeing the door - a bent track or a cracked panel on a 2003-era door can look like one problem and be another, and a guess made from a description isn't a number we'll stand behind. If a repair costs more than it's worth given the age and condition of the door, we'll say that too, instead of running up a bill.

Our team

Who Does the Work

The people who show up at your house are the ones doing the repair - spring swaps, opener diagnostics, track alignment, roller and cable replacement.

Homeowners with original hardware

Given the service area's median household income of $75,270 and a mostly owner-occupied housing base (37,842 owner-occupied houses out of 58,213 households), most of the calls we get are homeowners dealing with a door that's failed on hardware original to a house built sometime in that 1977-2009 window, not landlords managing a portfolio.

Cold drives spring failures

The winters here are cold enough that steel springs and metal track see real temperature swings, which is part of why spring failures cluster in the colder months across this climate band.

Call for an in-person look

We work from the shop at 2929 W Navigator Dr, Meridian, ID 83642, and you can reach us at 1 (208) 231-4591 to get someone out to look at the door rather than guess at it over the phone.

Questions

Common questions

Do you work on older garage doors in Meridian, or just newer builds?

Most of the housing stock in our service area dates from 1977 to 2009, with the heaviest concentration in the 2000s, so that's the range we see most. We can still work on an older door, but parts availability depends on the specific hardware, and we'll tell you honestly if something's going to take time to source.

How far out do you go for a repair call?

Our coverage runs from close-in Meridian neighborhoods out to towns like Kuna, Eagle, and Garden City at 6-7 miles, and as far as Melba and Emmett at 18 miles. If you're within that range, it's a normal call for us, not a special trip.

Will you tell me if replacing the door is cheaper than fixing it?

Yes. We look at the age and condition of the door before we quote anything, and if the repair cost doesn't make sense against the door's condition, we'll say so instead of running the bill up on a door that's not worth saving.

Do cold winters affect garage door springs here?

The climate band here is classified cold and severe, and steel hardware like torsion springs and track does see more stress from temperature swings in winter. It's one reason spring failures tend to cluster in colder months.
